Extending Out Or Up To Accommodate Hobby Life . . .

When y ou have a family house that has been lived in for some years, the needs of that family tends to change and their need for more space will become apparent. Where the toddlers used one area as a play room for example, the now grown up teenagers need separate space of their own for music practice or gaming – maybe mum or dad actually now have time for hobbies. If this can’t be comfortably accommodated in the main part of a house, then there’s the option of adding a sun room or extending out above a garage or into the back garden. The building regulations have been eased in some areas to allow less restrictions on extending – within reason. This is where it’s a very good idea to consult a profssional building contractor who will be very aware of all the current and soon to be regulations and will advise what the possibilities are within a certain footprint – and budget.
