Heavy Plant Crossing . . . .

Some years ago our family were down in the west country returning to our temporary holiday home after a long but exciting day out at a county show. We’d been emersed in all things country, from petting the baby farm animals to watching the sheep dog trials and then the big event – a peculiar demonstration of artistry but also deft man-handling of tractors in a sort of tractor dodgems. Of course, everyone was well experienced in handling those massive great vehicles. We also saw many vegetables on show and garden flowers, shrubs etc. So it was with much hilarity, our daughter laughing so much that she couldn’t catch her breath . . . . when we saw a normal traffice sign with a digger with a it’s bucket aloft and below was the warning “Heavy Plant Crossing” . . . . .
